'DE CHARDIN A HERVE CONSTANT' Wednesday, 1 February 2012 at UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON, starting at 1.30 for 3pm when Herve Constant will give a multi-media presentation entitled De Chardin a Herve Constant about the artists and writers - such as Chardin and Rimbaud - who have shaped his art.

Here is an interview I did with artist Herve Constant in London in mid-November. Herve is a fascinating mixture of cultural influences - born in Morocco, then moved to France, now living in London - and his multimedia work is a similar mixture of styles and influences. This long-ish interview is actually about half of the recorded material, and in it Herve has lots of fascinating things to say about his own work and the dedication it requires to be an artist

Herve Constant is a London-based French artist. He was born in Casablanca, Morocco and was brought up for over ten years in an orphanage in Hyeres, South of France. He studied theatre acting at the Conservatoire de Toulon before obtaining a grant to further his studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieur des Arts et Technique du Theatre in Paris. Herve's work is a mixture of different interests, social and cultural influences.
